  wt writers have decreed, that "this generation" are the partaking anointed, not the general population.. according to the fresh light of july 15 2013, sealed anointed, fads& partakers all, will die and go to heaven before armageddon.. is the great tribulation including armageddon, not part of the end times prophecy, the wt hallmark?-- therefore:.

  the generation, the anointed, have to die before the end , but.

  jesus said that they* will not!

  the wbts teaches a overlapping (generation) will not pass away since 1914 right?.

  what is your personal genealogy.

  (1) my great grand father was born in 1901. he became active with the bible students around 1910. .

  that juror now faces a possible contempt of court charge.the trial of a man involved in a high speed crash that killed a prince george's county police officer last year ended in a mistrial.. one of the jurors told the judge via email thursday morning that judging others was a violation of her religion as a jehovah's witness, news4's prince george's county bureau chief tracee wilkins reported.. kevon darnell neal, 23, was charged with vehicular manslaughter and fleeing and eluding following the death of officer adrian morris, 23.. morris and his partner were pursuing a stolen silver acura when their cruiser ran off interstate 95 near the powder mill road exit in august 2012. morris died after being ejected from the vehicle.

  Is there anything you could do forever that wouln't get boring?

  not sure when i came to this conclusion but i can't imagine living forever.

  after a while i think i would be completly bored with everything.. not saying i wouln't like to live for a few hundred years or maybe even a few thousand if i could travel through space and discover other universes star trek style.

  but the thought of living forever sounds like it would eventually become a complete drag.. maybe i'm wrong, maybe after a thousand years or so you would foregt all the stuff that happend at the beginning and just start over in an infinite loop..

  1914 countdown card in 2014 Yearbook

  the 2014 yearbook has a scan of the 1914 countdown card.

  it does not say whether this was published by the watchtower or independently, so please let me know if you have any further information about it.

  in typical offensive fashion, the yearbook blames the members rather than themselves for the false expectations held for 1914.. some bible students even carried a countdown card so that they could mark off each passing day.

  Interesting , never seen this before. . . Of COURSE "many believed " they were going beyond the veil, they were TOLD that's what would happen . . That's like saying "many believed" the FaDS were all of the anointed pre 2013...

  Where else is there to go?

  when i left the jw's, close friends and some elders discussed my desicion with me,without fail they all concluded the same thing.... "but where else is there to go?!".

  at the time, the question just confused me, i could not see why it confused me or the very telling nature of such a comment.

  i never thought that once.. firstly, this indicates that many jw's remain jw's simply because of this tunnel vision perspective... everything in their periphery is valueless, but the wt on which they focus is everthing.

  hello all, it is nice to have a forum for former jw's and see i wasn't the only one out there having serious doubts.

  my parents got into it when i was about 4 years old.

  my family was part of the granville ny congregation.. my dad in time became an elder.

  1) vegetation made on day 3, animals formed day 5,6, but- then.

  in gen 2, man seems to be the primary creation, and vegetation and then animals were formed from the dust and brought to him to name them.

  Can anyone suggest some GENUINE well-worded comments that we could make regarding any of these inconsistencies, for example, the order of events in creation, like "SOME say that such and such proves the bible to be hogwash but we know that it's easily explained by (insert lame excuse here)".. not enough to get rumbled but enough to show the cong that there ARE inconsistencies....?

  as we know, we can search the bible from cover to cover and we dont find any reference to the governing body.

  not now, it has been slipped in for the outine of contents for acts 15. here we are looking at history through a modern, distorting lens.. outline of contents.

  dispute in antioch regarding circumcision (1, 2)question brought to jerusalem (3-5)elders and apostles meet together (6-21)letter from the governing body (22-29)?
